"I gladly grant you this quality: you savor elegance every day better than most of your contemporaries. With tact and finesse, you swoon when your body comes to embrace mine—made of laminated beechwood, as you immediately noticed. You appreciate my proud bearing just as much, and my perfectly crowned head, which stands out a mile from other chair backs: grace in simplicity."
The Élégante.
We are twin chairs
Born under the sign of Tsé Tsé,
Fa mi la sol ré do, si do la sol fa mi, gilded,
They call us Capricious,
Others are Wise or Distinguished,
Blue, turquoise, or faithful
Independent, orangey yellow
Loving a splendid dinner party
Scattering our beauty everywhere
True chairs and false twins,
Ten in number, so multiplied,
Or perhaps in pairs or by eights,
It depends on your household.
We are all cheerful
With our misshapen shapes
So beautiful, so pretty
Happy with our variety,
And to be made of beechwood
Of laminated beechwood
Made in France, do ré
Fa sol mi do, right on key,
Long live us twins
Yes, long live us Tsé Tsé chairs!
